The CruiserWeight’s Windload Package is specially designed to withstand both the positive and negative wind-load pressures associated with hurricanes, tornadoes or high wind gusts while still providing TKO’s legendary impact resistance to combat day-to-day damage from forklifts.
To maximize wind-load effectiveness, the TKO Windload Package includes multiple slide locks that run along the length of the track on both sides of the door. The slide locks are securely anchored to the panel on a steel plate that runs the height of the door panel and contains a flexible tubular frame reinforced with a steel angle.
However, the guide track is the most critical part of any wind resistant door system.
